The only disadvantage of flaxseed over seniors and toddlers is hydrogen cyanide. The human body can detoxify 100 mg/day of cyanide.

According to scientific studies humans need to eat 1 kg of flax seed daily to manifest cyanide toxicity (1). This huge amount of flaxseed consumption is impossible for any human.

Also, cooking destroys hydrogen cyanide. Scientific studies suggest that cyanogenic glycosides are heat-labile (2). Processing methods like autoclaving, microwave roasting, pelleting, and boiling can easily destroy cyanide.

To make this flaxseed milk fortified for seniors and toddlers we have followed the above research models. Our recipe is fully concentrated on cyanide reduction without destroying nutrients.
